The new version of the European Funds for a Modern Economy program allows companies from the SME sector to finance an investment project involving the implementation of existing results of R&D work. Previously conducted research work, e.g. co-financed from POIR - funds, will provide entities from the SME sector with access to other modules and the wide range of support offered within them, including: financing the implementation of specialized digital solutions, supporting eco-design and carrying out environmental assessments, or promoting products or services on foreign markets.
The mandatory modules will be "R&D works" or "Implementation of innovations". In the case of large enterprises, the situation will be different - for them the "R&D works" module will always be obligatory. Therefore, large enterprises wishing photo retouching to co-finance investment costs or obtain additional support for internationalization or digitalization will be obliged to carry out research work as part of the project. Moreover, enterprises other than SMEs and small mid-caps will have to cooperate with companies from the SME investments.
